Association Meeting Minutes
Introduction: Introductions
were made and Leon Spencer chaired the meeting.
Presidents Report:
Old Business: There
was no old business open for discussion.
New Business:
*Featured Supplier: Open Loop, RMB
*New Product:
It was brought up that we
would all like to do a belt buckle for the Reno meeting in November next
year. It was decided that we keep going
forth in collecting the required information so that we can have a better idea
as far as cost. It was decided that it
was something that we would all like to see happen.
It was also brought up
about having a display at the hospitality dinner and the meeting halls. It was something that has been a long
standing practice and was voted in agreement between all three groups well
prior to this meeting. It was decided
that it shall stay an avenue that is appropriate for a supplier to get an
acceptable amount of company awareness and involvement.
Leon asked about the status
of the WSA bylaws, which it was noted by previous WSA Officers that rough
drafts of the bylaws were on-file. Brandie said she would forward a copy of

WSA members would fall into the over 10,000lbs group, which had the following
requirements to operate as interstate travel: Class C Drivers License, Current
Medical Card, Registration, Log Book, Shipping Paperwork for the product being
transported, Fire Extinguisher, Safety Triangles, Company Name on Vehicle and
DOT Numbers displayed on Vehicle. The
requirements for the over 26,000lbs group were different and could be a topic
for the next meeting.
*Talked about the requirements for securing a load being
transported. Trooper Edwards looks for
each strap to rated at ½ of the load that it securing. The ratings of the straps are generally
printed on the strap or on the attached tag.
